Holiday Workshops and Booster Sessions in Brentwood
Looking for a holiday activity for your child that’s educational, fun and engaging?
At Key Tuition Brentwood, our school holiday workshops combine learning, creativity and confidence-building in a relaxed, enjoyable environment. Led by experienced professionals and qualified teachers, our workshops help children build skills in maths, English and beyond, all while making friends and having fun during the school holidays. Workshops run throughout the year, during summer, Easter and half-term breaks.

Chess Workshops
Interested in learning chess or improving existing skills? Our popular Chess Workshops are led by Robin, Essex Junior Chess Coach and Chess Coach at Brentwood School. Suitable for beginners through to more experienced players, these interactive sessions build strategic thinking, concentration and problem-solving skills while enjoying the game.
Speak Up Workshops
Want to boost your child’s confidence and communication skills? Our energetic Speak Up Workshops are delivered by Katy, a West End actress. Through fun activities, games and performance techniques, children build confidence in public speaking, presentations and interviews. These sessions are always full of energy and a firm favourite with our students.

Coding Workshops
Want your child to build real digital skills while having fun? Our Coding Workshops introduce children to the basics of programming through hands-on, interactive projects, building games, animations and simple apps as they learn. No previous experience is needed. Children develop logical thinking, problem-solving and creativity, all while picking up skills that are genuinely useful for the future. These workshops are one of our most popular sessions and regularly sell out fast, so early booking is recommended.
Themed Maths, English and Creative Workshops (KS1 & KS2)
Looking for a workshop that blends Maths, English and creativity without it feeling like extra schoolwork? Our themed workshops for KS1 and KS2 children are delivered by qualified teachers, weaving learning into exciting activities and challenges. Popular themes have included Mario Bros, LEGO, Harry Potter and mystery and adventure themes. Children have so much fun they often don’t realise how much they’re learning.

Special Guest Workshops
Throughout the year, we host specialist workshops led by industry professionals. One recent highlight was our Crime Investigation Workshop, delivered by a professional police investigator, where children solved clues, analysed evidence and experienced what it’s like to investigate a real case.
Exam Skills Workshops
For children working towards entrance exams, we offer workshops covering exam-style writing, algebra and exam technique walkthroughs, helping children approach test situations with greater confidence. (See our dedicated 11+ page for full entrance exam preparation.)

How long are the workshops?
Most workshops run for approximately 3 hours, although some may be shorter, around 2 hours. Please check the booking page for the duration of each workshop.
How do I book a workshop?
Booking is easy. Simply click on the workshop tabs below to view upcoming dates, find out more information and reserve your child’s place online.
Do I need to be a Key Tuition student to book a workshop?
No. Our holiday workshops are open to everyone. Your child does not need to be a current Key Tuition student to attend. We warmly welcome both Key Tuition students and children from the wider community.
Do I need to stay during the workshop?
No, this is your chance for some well-deserved “me time”. Simply drop your child off and leave the rest to us. Our workshops are fully supervised by experienced professionals and qualified teachers, so you can enjoy a few child-free hours while your child learns, creates, explores and has fun. Just don’t forget to come back and collect them when the workshop finishes.
Do children need to bring anything with them?
Any materials needed for the workshop will be provided. If there is anything specific your child needs to bring, this will be clearly stated on the booking page.
